Jaw discomfort, muscle tension and restricted movement can arise for different reasons. Functional care begins with an assessment of your symptoms and jaw function, separate from an aesthetic treatment plan.
EMFACE Functional TMJ has device indications involving TMJ dysfunction, associated pain, muscle spasm and mandibular range of motion. We discuss whether it fits your care plan, including other treatments or referral when needed.
How EMFACE works
EMFACE uses external applicators to deliver synchronized radiofrequency and muscle stimulation. Different applicators serve different areas. Facial aesthetics and functional jaw treatment require their own assessment and treatment plan.

Suitability and limitations
Tell your provider about implanted electronic devices, metal in the treatment area, pregnancy, medical conditions and recent procedures. Your provider will check the device instructions and explain suitability, possible discomfort, risks and alternatives. Results vary; non-surgical treatment does not replace a surgical facelift.

Not necessarily. Depending on the diagnosis, a plan may involve additional care. We will explain the role of muscle therapy and how progress will be assessed.
